Popularly known as global warming, the theory of climate change has aroused intense controversy regarding the extent to which human activities affect global temperatures and weather patterns. James Hansen, a researcher from NASA announced with confidence that global warming had arrived. Many of his peers criticized him for taking such a public role on a scientific issue. Hansen has become the world's top researcher on global warming. He not only believes that global warming is coming it too is accelerating. He argues that natural changes such as humans control the climate depending on the changes they make in the atmosphere.
