The Nature of Human Consciousness and Logic

General consciousness is an individual's awareness of his or her surroundings. When conscious, a person is able to interact and respond to the environment and other people. On the other hand, events such as dreaming are associated with the subconscious, when an individual does not recognize or realize what communications are going on within the mind. Consciousness is marked by the presence and usage of logic, when people make rational comparisons between then events of their daily lives. When an individual is conscious, he or she will generate a voluntary reaction towards a number of stimuli, which could range from emotional instincts or a presentation at work. Someone actively working is perhaps the best exemplification of general consciousness; busy minds are incorporated into busy people.
