Odysseus, Why He Is a Hero, Why He Wouldnt Make a Good Role Model.
The poem The Odyssey by Homer tells the story of Odysseus, a war hero from Ithaca, and his 10-year journey home from the Trojan War. It explains all of the encounters that Odysseus comes across in his desperate voyage home to his wife Penelope and son Telemacus.
Odysseus has many good qualities, but at the same time, he has many faults.
At the land of the Cyclops, Odysseus and his men get trapped in Polythemus' cave. Odysseus was heroic by saving as many of his men as possible, and finding a way for the remaining men and himself to get out of the cave without being eaten by the Cyclops. Odysseus' creativeness is shown in these lines from the poem.
