Response to "Doors of Daring"
The poem, "Doors of Daring" wants the reader to try everything. Henry Van Dyke tells the reader that they should be daring, fearless, and explore everything there is to explore. Mr. Dyke hopes that the reader will open their eyes and by writing a magnificent poem he shows his feelings.
What Henry Van Dyke is trying to say is at one never lives fully until they take daring chances. He tells us this in one line. This line states "You never being to live until you dare to die." Taking chances is what most people do not do. Henry Van Dyke wants them to take chances. Being daring is a big part of living a great life.
Being fearless is also a key for living a great life. Henry Van Dyke tells the reader not to be scared of something much bigger than themselves...
