Summary: Women over the age of 30 in Britain gained the vote in 1918. While many argue that women gained the vote mainly because of their contribution to the war effort during World War I, two other factors -- peaceful campaigning form suffragists and the the militant campaign of the suffragettes -- played roles that were just as important.
Women over 30 gained the vote in 1918 mainly because of women's contribution to the war effort. Do you agree? Explain your answer.

Some people believe that women over 30 gained the vote in 1918 mainly because of their contribution to the war effort, but some people believe that women gained the vote in 1918 due to other reasons. To say that women gained the right to vote due to the war is wrong. As there was many great social and political changes that were happening as a result of the war. In this essay I will use relevant knowledge to support my argument that women over 30 gained the right to vote due to other reasons and not manly due to the war.
