What Are the Community Issues Surrounding the Releasing of Criminals?
In Canada the chances of becoming a victim of violent crime have grown
exponentially since the 1960's, even for those in suburban and rural areas.
Canadian communities are becoming more aware of this and are
distraught with the concept of these criminals being released, especially to live in
smaller communities. The purpose of this report was to reflect on these
community issues and find out exactly what concerns the communities
surrounding the releasing of criminals. To answer this question research was
conducted from a variety of sources and sent out into the community in the
form of a survey. This survey was handed out to narrow down the possibilities of
community issues and to find out what the issues are and how communities feel
