In Ken Kesey's novel One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, there are many similarities between the religious figure of Jesus Christ and the chief protagonist in the novel, Randle Patrick McMurphy. Although neither McMurphy's actions nor his physical appearance is the same as those of Jesus Christ, they both share similar motives for their actions. Regardless of the consequences they both seek to help others.
