Comparison of Industrialization in Russia and Japan
The Industrial Revolution may be defined as the application of power-driven
machinery to manufacturing. It had its beginning in remote times, and is still continuing
in some places. Industrialization went through basically the same process wherever and
whenever it occurred. Because of the Agricultural Revolution, an increase in population
as well as improvements of technology, the Industrial Revolution occurred. Russia and
Japan challenged the pattern of nineteenth century European domination. By 1914, both
had launched notable industrialization and accomplished other changes while preserving
their independence.
Russian and Japanese Industrialization revolved around the same methods.
Factories were built where large machines would be used. People moved to cities to find
jobs and urbanized. Tenements were filled with hundreds of people crammed together
under an affordable roof. Women and even kids were seen working with brutal
conditions. Much left work daily with twisted limbs in place...
