Summary: A descriptive book review and summary of the second book in the series, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, written by Ann Brashares.
'The Second Summer of the Sisterhood' is the first sequel to 'The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants'. 'Girls in Pants; The Third Summer of the Sisterhood' is the second sequel.

One summer ago, Carmen bought a pair of ordinary plain jeans. While her friends help Carmen pack to go see her divorced father, they come among the jeans. Everyone tries the jeans on, and they magically fit everyone even though all four of the girls are different shapes and sizes.

Thus, the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is formed. As Carmen, Lena, Bridget (Bree), and Tibby are separated for the first time in their lives from each other, the pants are sent by postal mail to the four of them which helps them stay connected.

This summer, the only person with plans is Tibby. She heads off to Film College in Virginia in hopes to pursue her dreams...
