Life of Syungman Rhee
"United we stand, divided we die (or fall)" (http://en.wikipedia.org) was the ideology of Syngman Rhee. He said this to the American government during the Korean War, stating that Korea should be united as one and demanding for power to control the united Korea. When everyone comes together as one, they can grow stronger. In contrast, when everyone is divided into different pieces, they become weaker. A nation ruled under a dictatorship, like North Korea, is weaker than a nation with a successful democratic government.
For every project, the hardest thing is to begin. Beginning is gambling. You never know what is right or wrong until you start and go through the process. President Rhee had to create the foundation of the Korean government. If there had been a model or a set of rules to follow, this process would have been much easier for him...
