Possible Reasons for the Rise in Teenage Abortions

Teens in today's society are exposed to sex in many different ways, two of which are peer pressure in relationships and the media. Teens are pressured amongst each other with their partners, as of ways to experiment, show their love, or just to fulfill their temporary pleasures. The media portrays sex in popular television shows, music on the radio, magazines, advertisements, and on the internet. This exposure to sex has lead teens to have more sex, which then, in turn, leads to more pregnancies and the topic of abortion. United States teenagers are having more abortions at twice the rate of their peers in other developed countries. These are some possible explanations for this increasing rate of abortion.
