Summary: Duane Michals' photograph titled "Who Am I" is an art form called a "mirror photo": an image that shows how someone views themselves or forces someone to view how they feel about the subject. A "window photo," on the other hand, is an image designed to show life as it is.

When talking in photographic terms, a "mirror photo" is a picture that shows how someone views themselves or forces someone to view how they feel about the subject. Duane Michals' photo named Who Am I is a "mirror" through which he attempts to express his feelings. In the picture, an ideal image of a young man is looking into a mirror. It is a normal mirror, but what he sees when he looks into it is a distorted face. This is very strange, but it may possibly be used to show how Michals feels about the supposed "ultimate race."
