Gender Misconceptions
Women are constantly idealized by men, only able to live up to the potential that men set for them. Women allow themselves to be conceived as weaker creatures because of the habits of existence continually underlying society. Men view women as an extension of their existence, only being used for their constant servitude and never viewing them able to develop their own independence of mind. Men feel that they are the dominant gender with the power to control women, because throughout history men have been the worker, the provider, the one whose family depends on for survival. It becomes difficult to escape such a power and reach the understanding that women are equal as human beings, which is why these patterns of the dominant male and the weak female are still present in today's society.
