Alex Emmanuel Rodriguez born July 27, 1975, the youngest of three was born in Washington Heights, N.Y. His father, Victor Rodriguez and his mother, Lourdes' Rodriguez, were both immigrants from the Dominican Republic. His father Victor Rodriguez was a former catcher in a Dominican pro baseball league so Eventually Victor would introduce Alex to the sport...baseball. Alex's father owned a shoe store in Manhattan, though shortly he decided to close it down and retire.
