Monster (summer Reading)

Summary: Monster by Walter Dean Myers was about a young African American boy by the name of Steve Harmon who is on trail for a crime he didn't commit. He needs the jury to believe he wasn't involved in the crime and murder of a store clerk.
Summer Reading

Characterization:

The main character of the story Monster by Walter Dean Myers is sixteen year old Steve Harmon. In the beginning of the story Steve had no confidence and was unsure that he was not guilt of being involved with a murder crime. In the end he regains his self-assurance and was ruled not guilty. Steve Harmon has forces that motivate him during the novel and it is his family. He relies on two main people; his lawyer (Kathy O'Brien) to help him out during his trial and his family because without them believing in him that he didn't do the crime then Steve would've looked weak in the eyes of his little brother.

The external conflict in this story was many of the characters that were in the jury talked as if Steve Harmon was a bad person, which led the juries to question...
