Oishi Kuranosuke
Ounce they did commit there help they all laid low for a while. Oishi doing the best to conceal himself became a rambling drunk and beggar. He lost his house wife and kids. Though dare not say he lost his honor for he gained honor by having the courage to do this in the name of his master. Then in the winter December 14, 1702 Oishi and his 46 companions came out of hiding and set out to take revenge on Kira.
They met at Honjo outside of Edo. Oishi took count and then had his men attack the heavily armored mansion of Kira. After a long battle with not one of the 47 dead they took Kira's head and traveled to Sengakuji temple the resting place their master. They placed Kira's head on Asano's grave.
They were immediately arrested and sent to prison. Because the word of the story spread fast the ronin became heroes in the eyes of the public. This forced the Japanese government to allow them to commit seppuku. Oishi was the second oldest ronin to commit seppuku at 42 the oldest was 77. He was the greatest hero and overall best character in the tale of the 47 Ronin.
