Reasons to Preserve Ownership of Guns in the United States

Summary: Arguments for limiting the amount of government gun control in the United States. Many of the problems with guns stem from gun-safety ignorance and the lack of enforcement of current gun laws.
Gun control is an issue that is currently challenging our nation and its citizens. After recently watching a documentary on the issue entitled Bowling for Columbine, I am baffled by the extreme hate that people possess against guns. It is an enormous problem, but I feel that protesters are taking the issue entirely too far. There are constantly riots, protest, and heated controversial debates about a subject that I feel could easily be solved if the right measures are taken.

Generally, from my knowledge, gun problems begin with gun safety ignorance. Many violators of gun laws and often murderers are children who are uneducated about the lethal weapon that is often mistaken for a toy. In my opinion, parents, policemen, and other figures of authority of authority need to address gun and firearm safety with children of all ages. No matter how young, children need to know the...
