We all know that there is a lot of violence and crime in the late hours, especially in certain neighborhoods. From my experience, there is a much greater risk for a person to be out and about in during these hours. From gang activities, to robbers and rapists, we do not know the potential risk our students face in the darkness, where adults are usually unavailable. The safety of the community's youth is just about the most important thing we have to ensure. It is in the hours when crime is highest that we much take extra precautions to keep our youth safe and home, where they should be.
