The treatment of inmates in the camps is a striking issue concerning the Nazi Treatment of Jews. The overall dehumanization of the inmates inflicted through several ongoing practices undertook by the Nazi soldiers is clearly visible through commentary and visual samples of Sidney Bernstein's film. The treatment of inmates in the camps can be divided into several specific components, the most significant include the punishment and torture of the inmates, the nourishment or lack off they received and finally the inhumane work routine that the inmates had to follow.
The systematic torture and punishment of inmates can be seen on two levels. The physical torture was blatant and many of the inmates were sent to the camps with the sole intention of having them exterminated. The mental torture or trauma however is not as clear cut and the agonizing difficultly with which the survivors talk about their experience...
