Summary of Macbeth
Summary: Macbeth, by William Shapespeare. It is mostly a summary of the picture version.
The story of Macbeth begins when the three witches decide to meet Macbeth, when the battle has been won and lost. This meeting is what sends Macbeth down a path of destruction. Macbeth is the thane of Glamis and the general of the kings, Duncan, army. During the battle, he defeats the traitor thane of Cawdor, along with the king of Norway. Due to his valour in battle, Duncan gives Macbeth the traitor's title, thane of Cawdor. Macbeth and his friend Banqou are walking along a heath, unaware of Cawdor's tretuirary. As they meet three witches, the first greets Macbeth as thane of Glamis, the second of thane of Cawdor and the third tells him that he will be king hereafter. They also tell Banqou that he will be a father to a long line of kings, though he won't be one. Later, a messenger arrives and tells...
