What Role Did the Battle of Gettysburg Play in the Victory of the North in the American Civil War?
The Battle of Gettysburg played a major role in the American Civil War, acting as the critical moment of the war that won it for the Union. To analyse the effect that this battle had upon both sides and the outcome of the war, it is essential to look at firstly the practical effects it had upon the South.
