Summary: Evaluation of the theoretical model of the russian revolution.
The template for a political revolution combines 3 basic stages, the development of a revolutionary situation, a revolution proper and a consolidation of power; this model suits the Russian Revolution excepting a more complex Revolution proper in Russia. The causes of Revolution remained a diverse variety of problems that agitated the majority of the population, much as it has been in every Revolution since 1789. These problems progressed into the accumulation of grievances that led to the formation of Revolutionary Groups. Once these grievances encountered a catalyst the Revolution went on to the Revolution proper. Here the Russian Revolution varies from other modern revolutions. In Russia it became much more complex as the Tsarist regime was dethroned by the moderates who were, in turn overthrown by the Bolsheviks.
