Summary: Pierre Trudeau was Canada's greatest leader, in the author's opinion. His most enduring accomplishments were the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and liberalized divorce, abortion and homosexuality laws. He also made bilingualism the law of the land. Plus, other events during Trudeau's tenure as prime minister.
Although some people didn't respect Pierre Trudeau while he was in power, many more agreed with him and stood by his side throughout his reign. His justice and strong support of all Canadians was well supported. Pierre did great things for Canada, such as making the Charter of rights and freedoms which we still have today. Therefore, Pierre Elliott Trudeau is the greatest Canadian. In the following, it will explain how and why Pierre Trudeau is the greatest Canadian in detail. His influence on Canada created this nation, its people, and what we are today.
