Who Caused the Outbreak of World War II

Historians have been discussing the question of which country was most to blame for the outbreak of the Second World War since its outbreak on 3rd September 1939. At the beginning most thought that the German¡¦s were responsible, in particular the country¡¦s enigmatic leader Adolf Hitler. But as the ¡¥hurt¡¦ of the war has subsided historians have been able to look at the whole picture of what certain leaders did to speed, prevent the path to war. In hindsight the following points have been found to have played a key role in the build up to War, these are: The aims of Hitler¡¦s Foreign Policy, Appeasement by the Allies, The harsh terms of the Treaty of Versailles, The many weaknesses of the League of Nations, The Economic Depression and the US isolation mindset.
