It is easy to agree with the quote by Charles Swindoll about the importance that attitude plays in our lives. Look around our school at the students who are succeeding and those who are not. Swindoll takes it even furthur than most by suggesting that attitudes is far more important than skill, experience, looks, intelligence or other favorable characteristics. His observations are clearly demonstrated in literature such as found in the book "The Bridges at Toko-Ri."

In the novel "The Bridges at Toko-Ri," the navy men has difficulties of the war to overcome. Admiral Tarrant and Lt. Brubaker plays a big role in this story.
