Charlotte Temple is I felt a great story (from what was read) it had all the

characteristics of a great novel, it is apparent why it was America's first great novel. At first I thought this text was a little hard to follow, after I finished it and skimmed it again I felt like I had a general understanding of it. At the beginning in the Preface(1327) we learn this story is indeed a true one. It was So detailed I could feel the emotion and manipulation throughout, I really think that this story must have been written from knowledge given from someone Rowson knew well or was even related to, I get this idea from the Preface(1327) and feel it had to have been for there to be such an understanding of the situation.
