She is a kind person in many ways. Miss Maudie is never mean to others. She knows how to control her emotions. She does not spread rumours about people. She stands up for those who are being treated badly or who are made fun of. She is nice to all including the children. Her kindness is shown in this example. One day in the novel, Scout had nothing to do she would go over to Mrs. Maudie's house. Miss Maudie being a kind lady would play with Scout. She is considered to be the children's best friend among the adults.
