Comparison of Tia Chucha and How Does It Feel to Be Colored Me
Summary: The individual spirit is a bare necessity for one to have a truly great life. There are many qualities that make up a wonderful person. For one a person must have a positive view of himself or herself. Also a fair, not biased, view of their surroundings contributes immensely. I think Tia and Zora were truly great people.
"What I must do concerns me," Emerson. I can think of no better quote than this to describe the spectacular individual spirit of these two pieces. Each on their own can have a strong impact, but read together, can truly change ones perspective on life. Tia Chucha and Zora view themselves, and the world around them in a very unique way. The individual spirit is a bare necessity for one to have a truly great life.
The first piece, entitled Tia Chucha, is about a very individualistic woman whom felt great about herself no matter what.
