I found The Passion of the Christ to be an amazingly disturbing movie. If I weren't Catholic, and I didn't understand the story behind all of the carnage, the movie would be basically two hours of watching some random guy getting beaten to a bloody pulp. And then I may not necessarily care, because it would just be some random guy. But since I am a member of the Catholic Church, I have an obligation to find meaning in this film.
