Dorigen and the Franklins Tale
Summary: This essay is about which character is most noble in Chaucer's The Franklins Tale.
Many of the characters in Chaucer's The Franklin's Tale put up a good fight for being the most noble. However all characters fall short of the lady Dorigen. Her nobleness is shown throughout the story with her love and compassion for her husband and her longing for him to return home safely. The other characters Arviragus and the squire Aurelius and the magician all are not as truthful as the lady Dorigen.
Dorigen's noble side emerges when the squire Aurelius professes his love for her. All Dorigen wants if for her husband to return home safely.
