"father Always Knows Best"
Summary: Atticus Finch in Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird" isn't perfect, but he serves as a perfect role model for his two children, Scout and Jem. He is a hero because he is brave, loving and caring, and because he fights for justice.
In To Kill A Mockingbird, by Harper Lee, Atticus Finch doesn't just play a lawyer, but he plays a father. In his role he is a huge role model and even hero to some. His relationship to Scout and Jem is like no other father child relationship in Maycomb County. He is a hard-working lawyer that has lost his wife, and who loves and gives anything for his two children. He isn't perfect, but no man or father is.
Atticus has positive qualities, like knowing what to say and expose his children to. He is a courageous and brave man and tries to teach his children to be that way. Atticus is well respected in all of Maycomb, unlike some other townsmen.
