Clashes between Europeans and the Australian Aborigines
Summary: Clashes between the European settlers of Australia and the reconciliation between "white" Australia and the Aborigines.
According to the civilised western world, land and property are possessed via financial transactions. To the Aborigines, land is not owned by one person instead they feel that the land is a part of them. There is no absolute ownership of the land. The Aborigines had no issues with each other about ownership that is until the white, European settlers discovered Australia. This is one of many reasons why the clashes between the Europeans and Aborigines occurred. The Aborigines saw the land as their creator, mother and the land was of major religious significance. Where as the Europeans saw the land as an excellent source of wealth which had absolutely no religious significance what so ever.
