Mark Norman and Tom Stoppard's award-winning film "Shakespeare in Love" is a romantic comedy set in sixteenth century London. The movie provides a fictional account of the origination and inspiration for William Shakespeare's legendary play, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. The story commences with debtor Philip Henslowe's promise to allow Hugh Fennyman to invest in a new play by William Shakespeare. Henslowe implores the capricious playwright to complete the play as soon as possible. The young playwright pursues an arduous struggle to find inspiration for his latest work "Romeo and Ethel the Pirate's Daughter." A great fan of Shakespeare's plays is young, wealthy Viola who is involuntarily about to be married to the callous Lord Wessex.
