Economic Inequality in U.S. Society
There are many factors that contribute to the inequality of our society. When it comes to issues of the free market system, inflation, the role of corporations, social security, and the causes of poverty the United states becomes extremely divided. We're not just the land of opportunity anymore. For many of us, opportunity is not even a reality.
The United States is a capitalistic society that evolves around a free market system. The free market system is supposed to be an idealized market system, where all economic decisions and actions by individuals regarding transfer of money, goods, and services are voluntary, and are therefore free of coercion and theft.
