Smoking Should Disappear Like Smoke
Summary: Many people smoke in order to relieve themselves from the stresses and pains of everyday life. However, rather than relieving the smoker of his or her everyday problems, smoking actually causes more serious problems. Lung cancer and other dangerous health issues can affect both the smoker and the person who breathes in secondhand smoke, resulting in shorter life spans for both. And with the amount of money being spent on cigarettes, smokers are in effect buying their own deaths.
People in our society need some way of relieving ourselves from the stress and pains in our everyday life. Some of us turn to religion, to help soothe our souls from life's despairs, other's turn to physical substances to numb the feelings, such as "Smoking." Little do they know is that smoking is not a relieving substance. In fact is it a dangerous, addictive, and a serious heath issue that should be banned from our society completely. It does not prevent any of our life's problems or "numbs" it, but in fact it causes even more dilemmas that people are unaware of.
