The Lord of the Flies by William Golding taught me that reading shouldn't be a punishment, while at the same time, it taught me about life and human nature. The Lord of the Flies motivated me to read then; but when I finished I was eager to read more. I think that everyone who is literate should read this book and experience the pleasure of learning. Unfortunately, having everyone read this book is not in the least bit possible. You can thank all those paranoid fools who are not educated about the book's issues, for challenging and actually banning the Lord of the Flies in some schools.
