In 1886 the first known Coca-cola was sold at a soda fountain in Atlanta, Georgia for a nickel. The same company that makes Coke is now a billion dollar company. It has been estimated that over 60% of middle and high schools contain at least one soda machine. The issue of allowing soda machines in schools had been taken all the way to the Supreme Court. Several states, such as California, have altogether, banned the sale of soft drinks in schools. And as the issue evolves and spreads, the way we eat and drink as a people is called into question. Is it the availability to soft drinks that is causing problems in the world youth or is it the lack or nutritional information that leads to obesity, tooth decay, and diabetes"
