Book Review of "Falling Leaves"

Summary: "Falling Leaves" by Adeline Yen Mah is a memoir of her life as an unwanted daughter in China. When Adeline was born, her mother died giving birth to her, then her father remarried to a beautiful young woman named Jenne Prosperi. They called her Niang. Adeline had three older brothers who teased her and an older sister who hated her. Everyone hated her except her Aunt Baba and her grandfather, Ye Ye.
Reading the book, Falling Leaves by Adeline Yen Mah almost made me cry from the neglect Adeline received in her childhood. This book was a memoir of an unwanted Chinese daughter. When Adeline was born her mother died giving birth to her, then her father remarried to a beautiful young woman named Jenne Prosperi. They called her Niang. Adeline had three older brothers who teased her and an older sister who hated her. Everyone hated her except her Aunt Baba and her grandfather, Ye Ye.

This story caught my attention while reading it because of the descriptions given and the unbelievable story she tells of her life. Her friends came over to celebrate her class presidency, but unknowingly; her parents didn't allow anybody to enter their home except family: no friends! Her stepmother then screamed at her after that and she slapped Adeline's face so hard she lost...
