Obstacles for Romeo and Juliet
Summary: Throughout William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet," human conditions such as revenge, luck and the feud between the Capulets and the Montagues become very powerful obstacles that get in the way of Romeo's attempts at being happy with Juliet. These obstacles contribute to the lovers' deaths.
In the book, Romeo and Juliet, the main characters fight against their families and the law to follow their heart. With the help of Friar Lawrence and the Nurse, they will try to win those fights and be happy together.
Throughout the book, elements such as revenge, luck and the feud between the Capulets and the Montagues. These are very powerful obstacles that get in the way of Romeo's attempts at being happy alongside Juliet. These obstacles end up causing the lovers' deaths.
An element that influenced Romeo's life is the feud between his family and Juliet's family. That feud that has been happening for many years causes the Capulets to not accept Romeo into their household. If the feud between the two families didn't exist, Juliet wouldn't have to fake her death to marry Romeo, which causes her to kill herself, as the plan goes wrong. And...
