A Dreamer Ponders
Summary: A personal essay describing what it is like to be a nonconformist in high school. Urges other teenagers to seize the day and enjoy the high school experience.
I'm not the most popular person in school. I'm not the prettiest, smartest or thinnest. I don't get straight A's, I don't drive a brand new Mustang, and I don't wear designer clothing. I've never smoked a cigarette, had an alcoholic drink, or had sex. I don't want any of that, though.
I want to be exactly as I am. I like wearing button-up shirts and slacks. I love always having something to do, whether it be for leadership or yearbook or NHS or CSF or whatever. I love stress. Even though I might get worn out and frustrated and I might seem like I'm unhappy, my happiest times are those when I'm under pressure from fifty different people and I'm going insane because everything is piled up on top of each other and I'm running around, frantically trying to get everything done. I love working with people...
