Measuring Chemical Factors at Three Sites along the Ashuelot River on Two Different Days

We were interested in analyzing water chemistry at three different sites along the Ashuelot River
over a two day period to determine whether or not the Ashuelot River is a healthy ecosystem and
to analyze the Dwarf Wedge Mussel problem. We conducted tests that measured several different
chemical factors of the Ashuelot River, including dissolved oxygen, pH, conductivity, turbidity,
temperature, and oxygen saturation. To conduct these tests we used chemical kits and electronic
devices provided by Hach Company. We recorded our data and compared it to data that was
taken at the same sites on the same river over the past six years. Although some of the data from
past years was erratic and therefore unreliable, we used them (along with the data that we
gathered) to construct charts...
