Forensic Science in "Bare Bones"
Summary: The forensic science used in "Bare Bones," a crime novel by Kathy Reich.
In Kathy Reich's crime novel, Bare Bones, the main character is Dr. Temperance Brennan. She is a beautiful, intelligent, and very sarcastic forensic anthropologist. The book starts off with Tempe about to go on vacation with her boyfriend, however her plans are suddenly changed when the bones of a baby are found burnt in an old stove. The teenage mother of a newborn baby, Tamela Banks, has disappeared, and therefore is a suspect for the killing of her child. Temperance has to deliver this news to the grandfather of the dead baby and has to inform him that his daughter is a leading suspect. Tempe decides to stay and investigate the situation, hoping to find some answers. She has to investigate the case with a man that she has absolutely no respect for, who goes by the name of "Skinny" Slidell, and is described as a disgusting redneck...
