Hamlet Essay
Hamlet, by William Shakespeare, is one of the greatest and most discussed pieces of English literature. One reason the play is so commonly discussed is because of the questions it never answers. The quintessential example of this would be; Is Hamlet really an indecisive coward as he claims or is he just a reasonable man who wants to be sure before he takes drastic action? By reviewing Hamlet's actions throughout the play, one can assume that he is not an indecisive coward. Hamlet is just a reasonable man with a contemplative nature. He realizes that hasty actions can often be followed by unwanted consequences.
Hamlet cannot be blamed for the amount of time that goes by before he kills King Claudius. Murder is a very serious crime. Hamlet wants to first cover all bases to ensure that he is not punished harshly for his actions. Hamlet...
