A Biography of Saint Catherine of Alexandria
Saint Catherine of Alexandria was born into a noble family and known for her courage and contributions to Christianity. She was a respectable citizen and is known throughout the world for the sacrifice of her life in order to promote the religion of Christianity. Her canonization was Pre-Congregationail and her name, Catherine, literally means "pure one." Her death and devotion has been recognized by many, especially by the women of France.
Saint Catherine of Alexandria converted to Christianity through a vision of Our Lady and the Holy Child. As a young child she also read about Christianity and was fascinated with its aspects. She later tried to convert several others and succeeded in the conversion of changing more than 50 people to the practice of Christianity.
