Summary: The theme of religion in "Walk Across America" by Peter Jenkins and "Ishmael" by Daniel Quinn.
Walk Across America by Peter Jenkins, and Ishmael by Daniel Quinn, are books that are very similar to each other. They both have many of the same themes, and regardless of whether or not you like them they both have a changing effect on your life. In each book with each sentence that you read you learn a new thing, and it sticks in your brain.

In Ishmael, Buena and Ishmael seem to base all their conversations on the subject religion. They talk about how religion is a person's belief, and how there are many types of religions. Like when they talk about takers and leavers, they say how God is said to love both takers, and leavers, and not one more than the other.
