How Women Affect the Lives of Soldiers in Regeneration
Pat Barker is a woman who wrote Regeneration, a war story. Regeneration focuses mainly on the lives of men and how World War I affected the soldiers on the battlefield. Even though Regeneration is mostly a story about wounded soldiers and their problems, Pat Barker effectively brings to the story females that have a propitious effect later on in the story.
Although the role of women seemed unimportant to many people during the period in which Regeneration was written, mainly women not only began to play an important part in the lives of many people, including wounded and returning soldiers, but also began to improve their social status in life.
