The Europe Renaissance
Summary: The history of the European Renaissance.
A drastic change called the Renaissance occurred in Europe. The people in Europe began to thing differently. They thrived to improve their daily life on Earth, rather than constantly worry about the afterlife. New places were explored and new ideas were presented to the people. The Renaissance created a new intellectual environment in Europe, which caused changes in art, religion, and science.
New techniques in art were developed to create paintings that appeared more realistic. The use of perspective, usually accompanied by the use of a vanishing point, create a painting that looks three-dimensional. When using perspective objects that are farther away are drawn smaller than the objects that should be closer. A vanishing point provides a place for the lines in a painting to recede into and bring the viewer's focus to that certain point in the painting. These two methods create images that seem to allow...
