The Abortion Issue

Abortion is the spontaneous and untimely ending of a pregnancy, whether it be on demand or therapeutic. The mother of an unborn child is given the choice to terminate her pregnancy and end the life of a potential human being to help out her own life. Even if an unborn foetus in a certain stage of pregnancy is not yet considered to be human, it has the potential to become one. It is thus up to society to determine whether the value of life in general (of the foetus) is more or less important than the quality of life of a given human being (the mother).
