The Power of Mind Over Matter
Summary: In Richard Connell's, "The Most Dangerous Game," the protagonist, Sager Rainsford, is trapped on an island that he is completely unfamiliar with and is forced to battle and hunt with an experienced hunter, General Zaroff, in order to keep his life.
Most human beings consider themselves as predators not prey. This thought however is only exceptional to a certain extent. When it involves the act of taking the life of another human being as the form of prey, this idea becomes argued by other people with different beliefs as to what is morally correct. Being stuck on an island with a hunter who has these views is extremely scary, since in this hunting game you are the one being hunted. Surrounding the island is nothing but the dark blue waters of the ocean and trees that seem to follow you wherever you go.
