Summary: In the short story, "The Rich Brother" by Tobias Wolff, Donald and Pete are siblings on a journey of understanding and self-fulfillment. The brothers are the antithesis of each other but share a common bond, an undeniable love and sense of caring for each other.

In the short story, "The Rich Brother" by Tobias Wolff, Donald and Pete are siblings on a journey of understanding and self-fulfillment. The brothers are the antithesis of each other but share a common bond, an undeniable love and sense of caring for each other. They shared a childhood and formed a close bond as many siblings do. Throughout the story their lives go in two completely opposite directions but they are brought together once again on a physical journey home but also accompany each other on a journey of realization of the love they share.

Pete, the eldest brother and most materialistically accomplished, lives a life of leisure and conformity.
